I am 19 years old and have a lazy eye, and didn't follow through with my treatment because of all the sports i was in. I am now trying to become a firefighter, and realize that you need 20/20. I am wearing my patch now, but wish I did it when i was younger. Parents if your child has a lazy eye, take care of it now! Your children will be upset later.

"Just a note of thanks for helping my great niece, because of your help she no longer needs to wear the eye patch just wear her glasses. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Thank You in advance for everything you have done to help my son with his patching needs! You guys are great!

"I am a parent of a 15 year old that was diagnosed when he was 3 with
amblyopia.  I am so thankful for this site!!  I wish it would have been
around when he was younger.
Teachers do not always understand how this can affect a child,
especially when learning to read and being patched at the same time.
Because of this, I am working on a master's in special education so I
can help those who have this condition be successful.

Thank you for this site!!"

“I think this is wonderful, I had no idea where to look for help on the internet, and my doctor gave my your brochere.”

" This website has been very informative.I wish that I would have been informed of this program when my daughter was diagnosed 3 years ago, ...
At the time of her diagonosis,my husband and I had just recived our insurance from his work,it paid for the checkup, but not the glasses themselves. We were not sure that we could afford them. We had to use our money bugeted for food that month,so we had to go to the food pantry that month.
I feel that I need to learn more about Amblyope in order to help my daughter get through school and to inprove her life.”

"Hello I am a mom with a child that has a lazy eye and we do the patching and eye drops on weekends. patching during the week and my son has a tendency to hide his patch and I spend a lot of time looking for his patch and no matter where I put his patch he will find it and hide it on me. but the drops I keep in my purse and he doesn't know that their there. I recently started to hide his patch in there so he can wear it daily after school. I thank you for you web site the information is great. thank you "
